About This Recipe

If you love ranch but are looking for a more macro-friendly option, this lightened-up Buttermilk Chive Dip is a must-try! It’s made with just a few simple ingredients and is perfect for dipping recipes like my Feta Parsley Potato Wedges, Roasted Baby Potatoes, or Maple Cumin Roasted Carrots

And if you have to have a sauce with your protein, try this dip served with my Yogurt and Herb Chicken Breasts or Baked Breaded Chicken

Ingredients and Substitutions

  • Low-fat mayo: Provides a creamy, rich base for this dip. You can also swap the low-fat mayo for Greek yogurt.
  • Low-fat buttermilk: Adds that signature tangy flavor and helps thin out the dip to the perfect consistency.
  • Chives: Fresh minced chives give this dip a mild onion flavor with a hint of freshness.
  • Vinegar: You can use rice vinegar or red wine vinegar. Either one works great!
  • Seasonings: I used garlic powder and onion powder but feel free to add any other seasonings you think would taste great.

Dietary Adaptations

GF/DF: You could skip the buttermilk and use dairy-free milk instead!

How To Make

  1. Whisk everything together. Serve with roasted potatoes, veggies, or protein. Drizzle on salads, bowls, or sandwiches. Whatever you want!
