Another day, another green sauce because they’re THAT good. They’re everything to me, and the limit of how many you can have does not exist. The endless combinations of herby goodness are key to helping me not feel ripped off when I’m keeping things light. And if you’ve been using my monthly meal plan subscription, then you probably have noticed I love having a green sauce on hand to drizzle on top of my bowls, tacos, salads, etc. This Jalapeno Herb Sauce, in particular, came about as a fun twist on my creamy chimichurri sauce that we all love so much. I could seriously drink it, but I won’t…👀

What You’ll Need to Make Jalapeño Herb Sauce:

With a few ingredients and fresh herbs, you’ll have everything you need to make this delicious Jalapeño Herb Sauce. When I originally made this recipe, it was for my cookbook ONE, but it seriously tastes great smothered on meats, bowls, tacos, flatbreads, etc.

To make it, you’ll need…

  • Cilantro
  • Parsley
  • Oregano
  • Red Wine Vinegar
  • Jalapenos
  • Garlic
  • Olive Oil
  • Greek Yogurt
  • Kosher Salt
  • Red Pepper Flakes

And that’s it!

And this is SO easy to make that it doesn’t even need any directions. But to make it a ‘recipe’, here’s what you need to know: simply blend and process everything until smooth. And ta-da, you have the best, creamy sauce for drizzling, dipping…or DRENCHING!

If you don’t have a good blender, you need one! I’m not a big kitchen gadget person–but having a blender or food processor is everything. I use my blender all the time for sauces, and of course, my HUGE nightly shake. It makes it the PERFECT consistency.

This Ninja Twisti is my favorite blender! It’s great for just about anything, and I LOVE it.

After you’re done blending this sauce, store it in an airtight container in the fridge to use all week long. You won’t regret it! 🙌

Serving Suggestions:

Like I mentioned earlier, this sauce goes with just about any grilled protein, salad, bowl, etc. But if you like a little more structure, it would be delicious with this Flank Steak or this Cuban Grilled Pork Tenderloin

And of course, it would pair well with the recipes you can find in my cookbook ONE (or any of my cookbooks, really).

If you’re following my meal plan subscription, this would be great to add to prep for lunch or to switch up your meals for your lunch without a lot of extra work.

Is this Jalapeño Herb Sauce Gluten-Free and Dairy-Free:

This sauce is gluten-free, but it isn’t dairy-free because it uses Greek yogurt. You could try replacing the Greek yogurt with a dairy-free sour cream instead. I’ve never made it that way, but here’s a link to my favorite dairy-free substitutes

If you want a green sauce that’s already dairy-free without any modifications, you can try my dairy-free green sauce or dairy-free basil pesto. Both delicious and easy.
