About This Recipe

If you’ve been around here for any amount of time, you know my secret to making all macro-friendly foods taste delicious is the sauces and dressings we use to jazz them up! Having a flavorful sauce to drizzle over your salad, protein, or vegetables is always an easy way to elevate the meal.

If you’ve made my new Caesar Salad Ground Chicken Pizzas, you know how insanely easy and delicious this dressing is. It has all the taste of the classic dressing that you love, but is lightened up to easily fit your macros.

Whether you’re tossing this Greek Yogurt Caesar Dressing with crisp romaine, drizzling it over grilled chicken, or using it as a dip for veggies, this healthier dressing delivers all the flavor with a fraction of the fat—and no raw egg required!

Ingredients and Substitutions

  • Nonfat Greek yogurt: Gives this dressing a creamy base (and a boost of protein) without extra fat.
  • Lite mayo: Helps to give a hint of traditional Caesar flavor while keeping the overall dressing lighter. You can also substitute more Greek yogurt if preferred.
  • Lemon juice: I ALWAYS recommend fresh lemon juice to bring freshness and balance to this dressing.
  • Red wine vinegar: You can also substitute apple cider vinegar if needed.
  • Olive oil: Just a little olive oil helps to add a silky touch to this dressing. Be sure to use a good quality extra virgin olive oil with a neutral flavor.
  • Dijon mustard: The dijon mustard acts as a natural emulsifier, creating that smooth, creamy texture that you would normally get from using traditional raw egg.
  • Garlic: For me, I always use my go-to garlic cubes (SO convenient), but fresh, minced garlic also works.
  • Worcestershire sauce: The worcestershire sauce helps to add a slight sweetness that deepens the overall flavor profile.
  • Grated Parmesan: Freshly grated parmesan brings that unmistakable Caesar taste.
  • Anchovy paste: You can’t have a Caesar dressing without classic anchovy paste. Just a touch goes a long way, adding a savory, briny depth without overpowering the dressing.

Dietary Adaptations

GF/DF: Make sure you’re using a gluten-free worcestershire sauce to keep this gluten-free.  I haven’t made this dairy-free, but I love to use Forager Plant-Based Sour Cream in place of yogurt, and you can swap in a dairy-free parmesan, or simply skip it.

How To Make

  1. Whisk until creamy and smooth. Use on romaine lettuce for a Caesar, or on any salads, bowls, wraps, or sandwiches for a punch of flavor!
