This fresh and vibrant Mango Salsa is the perfect blend of sweet, spicy, and tangy. The juicy mango pairs perfectly with the crisp veggies, zesty lime, and a hint of heat from jalapeño to create a bright and flavorful topping or dip. It’s quick to make and incredibly versatile. We love serving it with chips, tacos, bowls, salads, etc.

About This Recipe
One of my favorite ways to add flavors to our meals each week is by prepping dressings and salsas that add a little extra zest without a ton of extra work or calories.
This Mango Salsa is so easy to make and is a great complement to any Mexican-inspired dish you might have on the menu this week! We love adding it to chicken tacos, fish taco bowls, Mexican salads, etc.
Or, you can throw this salsa together and enjoy as a dip with your favorite chips! We love making it for summer cookouts and just snacking on it throughout the day! It’s light, fresh, and just the perfect amount of sweet!
Ingredients and Substitutions
- Mango: Look for mangos that are slightly soft to the touch. You can also substitute pineapple or peach if you can’t find mango.
- Roma Tomato: Some people like to use cherry tomatoes, but I prefer Roma tomatoes because they hold up better in the fridge. Totally up to you!
- Jalapeño: If you’re sensitive to heat, make sure to remove the seeds. Or, if you like things a little spicy, you can leave them in for a bolder bite.
- Red Onion: The red onion adds crunch and a zesty edge that complements the mango’s sweetness.
- Lime Juice: Always recommend fresh lime juice for the best flavor!
- Cilantro: You know we love fresh cilantro around here, but if you hate it, you can substitute parsley, mint, or another fresh herb you prefer.

Dietary Adaptations

Helpful Tips
When I have a recipe that calls for a lot of dicing, I always pull out one of my favorite kitchen gadgets, the alligator chopper. It makes cutting your vegetables quick and easy! I use my alligator chopper all the time, and I can truly say that having that chopper is so worth it. I’m not usually a kitchen gadget person, but I highly recommend getting yourself one of these.
