Equipment Needed to Make Yogurt Marinated Air Fried Chicken
To make this tasty air fried yogurt marinated chicken, you’ll need an air fryer. I love how the air fryer makes for quick cooking and I still get juicy chicken with a crispy coating.
I get asked frequently if having an air fryer is worth it. Is it worth storing? Pulling out? Cleaning? After having one and using it repeatedly, I can confidently say that it is definitely worth having. I was a skeptic at first, especially about having another appliance to store on the counter. But it is a major time-saver, and the food comes out tasting amazing.
If you haven’t gotten an air fryer just yet, this air fryer is great! I also love using these air fryer liners for easy clean-up.
How to Make Yogurt Marinated Air Fried Chicken
You’re going to love how easy it is to make this flavorful chicken! Here’s how to make Yogurt Marinated Air Fried Chicken:
- Prepare the chicken. Pound the thick side of your breasts to level them out a bit for more even cooking.
- Make the marinade. Mix together your yogurt, garlic, vinegar, and spices and pour it over your chicken breasts, coating them evenly. Let marinate from anywhere from 1-24 hours. Remove from the fridge at least 30 minutes before cooking to let it come to room temperature.
- Cook the chicken. Heat the air fryer for a minute and spray with a thin mist of oil. Air fry marinated breasts at 370 for 10-15 minutes, flipping about 7 minutes in. Tenderloins will only take about 5-8 minutes total.
To grill: Heat an outdoor grill (or a grill pan) to medium-high heat, about 400°. Sprinkle it with an extra pinch of salt just before cooking. Grill chicken for about 5-7 minutes per side, using a thermometer to pull off at 165°. Tent with foil and let it rest for five minutes before serving.

Excellent
I fixed this tonight for dinner and used 4 bone in chicken thighs instead of chicken breasts. I marinated them for 2 hours, let them rest out of the fridge for 30 min. I cooked them at 375 degrees in the air fryer for 16 min turning halfway. They were delicious!!! So moist and flavorful! Thank you so much for sharing your delicious recipes!
