Memorial Day is such an important day where we can remember those who have served and fallen for our country, and it’s also a great time to gather with family and friends. The BEST. And with these get-togethers, you know there’s always going to be so much good food…which can sometimes make sticking to your fitness goals tricky. So if you’re hosting a BBQ or have to bring something to a party this weekend, but still want to keep things light, here are some of my fav macro-friendly Memorial Day recipes!

And of course, I’m not saying skip all the good stuff–just mix in the lighter options, so you don’t end up with a tummy ache the next day (just me?)…

#1 Greek Berry Yogurt Tart

Greek Berry Tarte: Macro-friendly Memorial Day Recipes Lillieeatsandtells.com

This is one my family likes on the 4th of July, but I think it’ll work here too. So easy and simple with no weird ingredients. You’ll want to eat this with a spoon as it doesn’t hold together quite like a normal tarte, but it’s definitely a crowd-pleaser.

And wanna know the best part? It’s super easy to make while still feeling super festive. Of course, you can use any berries or fruit you have on hand–but the red and blue berries just really make it IMO. You can get the recipe here, enjoy!

#2 Herby Mediterranean Grilled Chicken Tenderloins

Grilled Chicken Lillieeatsandtells.com

These Herby Mediterranean Grilled ChickenTenderloins are an all-time favorite at our house. So versatile and easy to make. And the perfect recipe, especially if you’re already planning on firing up the grill for Memorial Day. 👍 You can find all the details on the marinade here

And if you do end up making these tenderloins, you’ll definitely want to make extras to eat all week long. Having a yummy protein in the fridge to add to salads, wraps, bowls etc. is such a game-changer when it comes to counting macros. I love making one big batch of protein, and then using it all week long to make meal-building easy. If I had to start from scratch every night for dinner, then I just wouldn’t do it. Ha.

That’s actually how I laid out my first ever cookbook, LEAT, and what I also base my dinner meal plan on…if you want to learn how I batch prep protein and use it all week without it tasting like leftovers every night, then you can get my meal plan here

#3 Bacon Cheeseburger with Secret Sauce

Yummy macro-friendly burger: Macro-friendly Memorial Day Recipes Lillieeatsandtells.com

Burgers are a STAPLE when it comes to neighborhood BBQs, and for good reason. Because what’s not to love about something sandwiched between a toasted, buttery bun?

And when it comes to burgers, this Bacon Cheeseburger does not disappoint. Admittedly, I did use turkey…but it tastes so good you’ll hardly notice the difference. Of course, you can always throw some beef patties on the grill for your kids, husband, friends, family etc. without making it a big deal. Whatever works best for you and your family.

#4 Cobb Salad with Creamy Lemon Basil Dressing

Macro-friendly Memorial Day Recipes: Cobb Salad Lillieeatsandtells.com

In charge of bringing a salad? This Cobb Salad is sure to be a hit. It’s a classic while still tasting yummy and fresh. Plus, it’s great for macros.

The recipe is written for a personal salad, so just double or triple it if you’re making it for a crowd. I love lining it up on a large platter because it looks so beautiful that way.

If you’re a Cobb salad lover like me, then you can find all the details to make it for Memorial Day here

#5 Cuban Grilled Pork Tenderloin

If you need a good macro-friendly Memorial Day recipe, then you can’t beat this Cuban Grilled Pork Tenderloin. It’s perfect all the time but especially when you’re entertaining.

You can serve it plain with just a salad on the side, or you can make it into sandwiches like these Shaved Pork Baguettes with Kale Slaw or this Pork Sandwich with Spicy Mango Slaw.  The options are endless.

The recipe serves 6, so keep that in mind if you’re feeding a large crowd. You can get the full recipe and nutrition details here. Enjoy!
