This year I decided to share all of my favorite things in one place in case it’s helpful for gifting! Yesterday I shared ideas for the cook; today we’ve got favorite gifts for the macro-counter! I know I might be biased here.

macro-friendly gift guide www.lillieeatsandtells.com

1. Macro-friendly Cookbooks

I mean. I’m never comfortable tooting my own horn… BUT I am very comfortable saying every macro counter will have an easier life with the help of my cookbooks!!! You can find lots of details and recipes listed for each book when you click on them in the shop! I even have a cookbook that’s broken down into a meal plan format to help the macro-counter that just wants to be told what to buy and what to eat!

2. Kitchen Scale

The Baker’s Math Kitchen Scale is the best scale ever. It’s strong enough to weigh big heavy pots when needed but also sensitive enough to weigh a couple of grams of peanut butter for a drizzle. Totally versatile for ANYTHING. And, I love that you can see the screen while your plate is on top. I’ve had mine for five years and I think I’ve changed the batteries like once every six months IF THAT. A kitchen MUST in my opinion. Even if you don’t count.

3. Ninja Blender

I can’t live without my Ninja blender. We use it multiple times a day but it’s an absolute necessity for my nightly dessert protein shake. I still use the Ninja IQ but I don’t think they’re making it anymore because this Twisti does it all. You can use the upside-down attachment just like the IQ, but you also get a big jug like a normal blender with a built-in twisty tamper that’s amazing for larger recipes or for thicker smoothie bowls where you need the tamper. We also have a Vitamix and I never ever choose to use it! This feels so much easier to clean and quicker to blend IMO! It’s the perfect kitchen tool for the macro-counter.

4. Active Stacks (non-dairy) Beef Protein Powder

The best dairy-free protein powder you’ll ever find is Active Stacks! It’s a beef protein, so not plant-based, and zero weird flavor. It tastes like chocolate milk and I absolutely love it! It’s my first choice for my shake every night! Use code LILLIE for 10% off and treat your macro-counter to something special. And while you are at it, you should grab yourself some too!

5. Clean Simple Eats

Clean Simple Eats is a grass-fed whey protein that’s SO yummy. Their vanilla is the best vanilla I think I’ve ever tasted! The brownie is a favorite for my family along with chocolate peanut butter, snickerdoodle, s’more, and a few others. We just love so many flavors from Clean Simple Eats! You can’t go wrong. CSE is great for baking and using in overnight or baked oats which means your macro-counter will be thinking of you every morning as they start their day. So sweet, I know. Use code LILLIE for 10% off.

6. Insulated Tumbler

A good tumbler is non-negotiable! You absolutely have to eat the shake out of an insulated cup! So, do your macro-counter a favor and gift them an insulated tumbler so they can keep their shake (and other drinks) cold forever! When I first started making my shake, I’d use an insulated bowl, but we prefer the tumbler now. Insulated bowls are better for acai bowls and since I eat my shake nightly for dessert I’d choose the tumbler over the bowl. Or, don’t choose…grab your macro-counter BOTH, an insulated tumbler and an insulated bowl

7. Long Spoons

Long spoons are also a must…you must eat a shake with long spoons! I also like using them for overnight oats as well. There are always so many questions about these spoons, which means everyone will love receiving them as a gift, especially your macro-counter.

PRO-TIP: Wrap up a bag of protein, with the tumbler and long spoon so they’ve got what they need for the full dessert shake experience! Add the Ninja if you REALLY love them haha.

  1. Thanks for the share Lillie. I am working with The Habyt to learn about MACRO counting, getting coaching. Your meals are super helpful and these tools are fabulous! SO EXCITED to have your cook books.

  2. I LOVE gift guides, so thank you for doing this! I have a question about the blender. I have not yet found a blender, other than a Vitamix, that can actually blend my frozen kale. It’s not kale I buy and then freeze, it is a bag of steamable frozen kale. My Vitamix is on its last leg and I am in desperate need of a new blender. I cannot afford another Vitamix at the moment, but the one you listed can definitely fit in my budget! All that to say, do you think it will blend frozen kale adequately? Thanks for any information!
