Who doesn’t love a good steak? I know I do! For a leaner cut, I absolutely love flank steak. It’s protein-packed and is great in salads, sandwiches, or chopped up for tacos. You get all the juicy flavor of a good steak that fits well within your macros.

What is Flank Steak?

Fun fact, flank steak is technically not a steak. It’s a cut of beef that comes from the cow’s abdominal muscle. It’s still very popular though because it’s inexpensive, full of flavor, and pretty versatile.

Flank steak is lean beef and hardly contains any fat. It doesn’t require any fat trimming and soaks up marinade really well. I love using flank steaks for family dinners and meal prep.
