4fillets Mahi Mahi (448 g)
2tspcumin
2tspchili powder
2tspbrown sugar
1tspgarlic
1tsporegano
1tspkosher salt
½tsppepper
½tsppaprika
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F.
If your fish is frozen, run under water for just a minute so the outside isn’t rock hard and the spices can stick to it. But you don’t need to thaw!
Mix the spices together to create the blackening rub. This recipe makes enough seasoning for 4 fillets. Season the fish well with the rub.
Spray the fish lightly with a spritz of olive oil. Air fry the Mahi Mahi for 10-12 minutes (if cooking from frozen) or until the internal temperature of the fish reaches 137 degrees F. The fish should flake easily with a fork. If your fish is already thawed, adjust the cooking time to 8-10 minutes.
Remove the fish from the air fryer and let it rest for a minute. Squeeze some fresh lemon over the top and enjoy!
